ROUSSE CERAMICS, the delicate four-handed ballet
Rousse is a name for two ceramists, Loraine Savary and Stéphanie d'Ardier, who together create their works, including light sculptures, small sculptural furniture and bas-reliefs.
Sharing a taste for simplicity and sobriety, the craftswomen have created a common vocabulary.
Their field of experimentation is based in particular on the play on light, the search for purity of lines and work on the textures of raw earth .
From the first ideas sketched out to the pieces taken out of the kiln, including the shaping of the clay, it is with four hands that the craftswomen create unique pieces which thus bear the mark of their two complementary sensibilities.
