Grandson of a carpenter and trained architect, Stéphane (Cies) reinvents the silent correspondences that exist between the two practices, his own and that of a heritage of family practices.

Between concept and artisan know-how, his sculptures, with their clean lines and multiple perspectives, explore linearity. Broken, straight lines that soar and interlock or intertwine, his works are each a tenuous balance and an open universe, in questioning.

Material, geometry and volumes form the uninterrupted exchanges of this refined ballet with nature as a constant source of inspiration.
